Block Nib
blocked nibs on ink pens….?
I have some good quality very fine nib ink pens – type used for graphic design. They have become blocked/dried ink a long time ago – any suggestions of how I can clear them or is it not possible and i will need to throw them out?
There is a pen cleaner fluid that I like but some hot water and letting them soak will do the trick. Swirl them about in the water and it will help loosen up the dried ink, replace the water with more hot water when it starts to darken, you can even put in a small dab of dish soap that is mild, when you have thoroughly cleaned them leave them to thou roughly dry or when you reassemble them with fresh ink the ink will come out watered down…love tech pens and I usually do a maintenance clean every couple weeks…good luck!
